Objective

The objective of this professional development program is to provide professionals in governmental agencies and industry, involved in the management, procurement, or development of off-road vehicles, with an understanding of the fundamentals of vehicle mobility. Recent developments in the field will be discussed, including computer-aided methods for performance and design evaluation of off-road vehicles and extraterrestrial rovers; applications of computational methods (such as the discrete element method and the finite element method) to the evaluation of vehicle mobility; etc.
