ISTVS Conference Paper Management
ISTVS uses a powerful yet friendly online tool for managing the complex steps in submitting, assigning, reviewing, and approving conference paper submissions, Submittable.com.
Sign Up Process
If you are a member of the technical committee for a conference, you will receive an email invitation to create a "staff" account (Sample Email #1 below).
Once you have created your account, the conference chairs will begin the process of assigning you the papers from your track as they come in. When a paper is assigned to you, you will receive an email notification (Sample Email #2 below).
The Submittable interface will help you carry out the four steps of a review. Refer to the interface screenshot below:
The main task, of course, is to read, either via the tool or via download (image below)
Then comment to your Track Co-Chairs if needed using the Notes area in the interface (upper right),
Emails to the author can also be sent directly here by clicking on the envelope icon below the Notes area
And approve when you're ready via the thumbs-up icon in the top row (image below).
Note: for various reasons relating to file format discrepancies, Submittable is not always able to show the paper in the viewport; in these cases it will show an error message with a download link:
"Sorry, we were unable to find the document at the original source. Verify that the document still exists. You can also try to download the original document by clicking here." [image below]
